SUMMER SALE: QUALITY TOPS QUANTITY.

Summer sale finds:

Remember my post about my finds at Mango? Well, at least I only kept the jumpsuit (shown here and here) from my last order. The bikini didn't look as nice as on the pics and the waistcoat wasn't worth the money. Another sale order from Cos did cause the same reaction: I sent the items back, the quality wasn't good enough or the colour was mispresented on the website.

Instead of keeping 10 pieces, I ordered and kept two blouses from Stylebop: A crepe tunic by Day Birger and a wonderfully printed blouse by Paul&Joe sister. Both pieces cost me as much as ordering 7 pieces from Mango, but these two blouses are definitely keepers I'm going to wear for years. Even if not, I can resell them on Ebay for a reasonable price.

That bikini from Isabel Marant Etoile is another incredible find. The price is still high, but this piece is perfect for me: It is reversible and has two killer prints - so you get two bikinis for your money. The top can be worn in several ways what is really good as I'm a bid on the flat-chested side and never find a bikini that really fits in a nice looking way. Hope it's a good find and will report if it worked for me!

READY TO RUMBLE!

Wearing:
Winter Kate Devi jacket (also shown here)
Iro shorts (bought last year on TheOutnet)
Dolce Vita Eliza braid sandals (bought 2011 on FreePeople
Vintage L.A. satchel from Barcelona

Today, I feel so much wanderlust. Do you know the feeling when you just have to escape to another place? When you need a change? That's how I felt today. It was a sunny, bright day that made me even more missing things like the ocean, wide open landscapes, road trips ... all the exciting hippy stuff. The Winter Kate Devi jacket I bought at the Zalando sale is such a versatile piece: paired with the Iro shorts, today's look is the summer version of my look I showed you at the begin of this year's spring!

Really counting the weeks until me and hubby are off to Barcelona for some city and beach fun!

B-DAY: FLOWERS, FOOD AND A DRESS.

Wild fowers and cooking inspiration...
... a dress ...
... my jewelry ...
... and some more flowers - equals the perfect birthday!
Sun is shining... weather is sweet! Yesterday was my birthday (the 29th! uggg) and I got some sweet things from my hubby: An American cook book by Jamie Oliver! It's really wonderfully made and like a road trip through American cuisine. It's not only a fun read, but also a wonderful source for trying out new things! That's what I'll do next week when I'm going to celebrate my day with my beloved friends.

Me and hubby went on a sunny walk in the early evening, picking some flowers, and.... well, a wonderful dress from TJ Maxx! It has such a wonderful 60s shape and reminds me so much of the dress Megan of Mad Men wore on Don Draper's birthday party (find it here)! It's from French Connection and came only 1/20th of the retail price. It is 100% silk and has a wonderful midnight blue colour. Will go so well in the summer with my face jewelry and - I'm making future plans - will be perfect for the festive season at the end of the year.

Have a lovely day - I'm grabbing recipes for traditional Muffins I'm going to bake for the weekend!

GAUCHO GIRL MEETS WOODSTOCK.

Wearing Levi's x Liberty Floral Carlin Print Western shirt, Vintage Mexican tooled leather jacket (previous shown here and here), handmade leather belt from L.A., All Saints Ashby skinny jeans, All Saints Rustic Chelsea boots, Cynthia Rowley bag and Navajo jewelry.
On a cold and grey day I love to wear  a flash of colour to lighten up the dark. This Liberty blouse is like a dream came true: It's from the Levi's x Liberty collection and combines two of my fave brands from my fave destinations. So I can have it all: A British classic and that cowgirl look! Thanks to my blogging buddy Sharon from ThriftMyStyle and Live to Love Denim for her inspirtation (see her post here). I went to the market and got myself some fresh flowers. So at least there is spring within my house.

Btw.: Have you noticed my new turquoise ring I bought at ebay from the US (shown in the last pic)! It's fab ;)

DRESS FOR SUCCESS!

Wearing All Saints Siouxsie cardigan (from 2012), Mango Paisley jumpsuit (bought here), Chelsea Flower Silk tunic (also shown here), Urban Outfitters hat and Dune Pacific boots.
My look for going shopping at the supermarket - don't I look like a summer of love girl? Weather is a bid rough today so I had to be creative and add some warmer layers to my summer jumpsuit. Isn't that Mango jumpsuit a killer? So, I'm successful with this outfit in two ways: transforming a summer piece into something that's warm and stylish at the same time. And wearing something that is keeping me happy.

After having a rough week concerning my professional life I had three options how to move on: one completely unpleasant, the other one would eat me up and the third one is just unsure and a open future kind of thing. But a new perspective, a new path in life. Well, I guess I know what I have to do now - there will be some changes in the near future!
